Queens 90th Birthday Banner

Mollie, from Groby Community College’s graphic and photographic arts department created a banner with a modern ‘twist’ on the celebration of Her Majesty’s 90 years and 63 years of service to this country.

On Saturday June 11th, from 10:00 onwards and at five venues around the village, Ratby celebrated the official 90th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Coordinated by our Parish Council each venue hosted a variety of activities and displays to suit all ages.

Each venue agreed to donate its profits to Leicestershire Air Ambulance, which had its main display in the Village Welfare Hall.

Refreshments were available throughout the day at the Library, the Methodist and Parish Churches and the Welfare Hall.

Villagers turned out to support the event and Leicestershire Air Ambulance, despite the poor weather.
